Perfect for preventive maintenance
The ultrasonic range of the Marksman can actually pick up the sound
of a blinking eye! This super-sensitive capability makes it one
of most effective early warning systems to detect defects and malfunctions
before they result in major breakdowns. It’s an ideal diagnostic
tool that dramatically reduces equipment downtime and maintenance
costs.
Highly accurate
The Marksman uses a two-tiered process to ensure accurate diagnosis.
First, it converts inaudible ultrasonic sound into audible sound
using a process known as
heterodyning. Then, the unit’s Sound Signature Technology™
fine-tunes the audible sound into the "natural" sound
emitted by the defect itself. In addition, a 10 bar LED display
indicates the intensity of incoming signals from the problem
source to ensure error-free diagnosis.
Extremely user friendly
The unit’s Automatic Gain Control (AGC) circuitry automatically
adjusts to
optimize signal sensitivity during every inspection. This simplifies
operation and helps the user focus on the problem at hand —
no need to play around with multiple knobs and buttons. Just turn
on the Marksman and it’s ready to go!
Designed for optimal performance
The TP-9370 Master Kit comes with an ultrasonic emitter and two
probes that are specially designed to enhance the Marksman’s
versatility. The emitter, which transmits ultrasonic pulses to the
receiver, tests for faulty seals, gaskets and weather stripping
in cabs, trailers and other non-pressurized enclosures. The 12"
air probe extends the receiver’s reach and helps isolate a
leak among multiple suspect areas. The contact probe, when touched
to an external surface, picks up and transmits ultrasonic sound
from defective internal components without disassembly.
Portable
The Marksman, with its solid-state circuitry, is compact and lightweight.
The receiver, weighing just 10 ounces, is perfect for prolonged,
fatigue-free inspections.
